ragtags studio central: sarah's random this & that

random means "having no definite aim or purpose," (1655), taken from "at random" (1565), "at great speed" (thus, "carelessly, haphazardly"). In 1980s college student slang, it somehow, and sadly, acquired a distinct sense of "inferior, undesirable." (Online Etymology Dictionary, Douglas Harper) Well, okay, fine, Mr. Online Etymology Dictionary person, but THIS is the 21st Century. It's a whole new ball of wax.

Anyone for a fun class??

Title: Culinary Keepsakes:The Fine Art of Recipe Albums
Date: Tuesday, December 2
Where: Whole Foods, Fort Collins, Colorado
Time: 6:30 - 9:00pm
Instructor:
Sarah Fishburn, artist and author of In This House and In This Garden

What will we be "cooking up" in this class? A fantastically art-full,
personalized cookbook that will be the envy of friends and family. In
addition to your own faves, we'll exchange recipes with each other.
You will leave class with a decorated binder and at least 2 finished
pages.

$30 fee includes materials, but please be sure to bring several of your
own recipes (printed out or handwritten will both work), a pair of
scissors, a favorite pen or two, and a glue stick. If you want to
include family mementos or old photos, make copies of any
one-of-a-kind memorabilia. Also consider items like blue ribbons won
for cooking, colorful labels from jars of wine, jam, etc., menus, even
tickets from a fabulous trip that provided an unforgettable recipe.
