ragtags studio central: sarah's random this & that

random means "having no definite aim or purpose," (1655), taken from "at random" (1565), "at great speed" (thus, "carelessly, haphazardly"). In 1980s college student slang, it somehow, and sadly, acquired a distinct sense of "inferior, undesirable." (Online Etymology Dictionary, Douglas Harper) Well, okay, fine, Mr. Online Etymology Dictionary person, but THIS is the 21st Century. It's a whole new ball of wax.

OK so know what is TRULY weird?

I actually WAS a theater major!!!
Totally fuh-reaky!
I never graduated from college though, & i abandoned theater because it seemed to me (at least back then) just too weird spending all my time doing NOTHING to make the real world a more beautiful place. You know, like Miss Rumphius.

What's my perfect major???

You scored as Theater. You should be a Theater major! Like a bohemian actress, you are seasoned and confident and not afraid to express yourself!

How Weird Arm I?

You Are 40% Weird

Normal enough to know that you're weird...
But too damn weird to do anything about it!

Get your inspiration here: Card Art by Steph McAtee & Em Falconbridge

Card Art, by Steph McAtee & Em Falconbridge, published by Universal, is simply THE BEST book on making innovative cards currently available.
Whether you are just getting started in the fine art of making your own cards or have been at it for years, i guarantee you will find fabulous ideas & effects galore!
Incorporate even a few of their creative techniques & your card making will immediately take on new dimensions. These two clever girls have gone where few card artists dare to go: explaining clearly how to create both wildly show stopper & definitively elegant cards from both expected - decorative papers, inks, photos and stamps - materials, and totally unexpected materials - food coloring, shoe polish, tiles, and vintage sari fabric.
The photos are clear, directions concise and tips generous.
This is a book to put on your wish list, get for yourself and buy copies for your best friends. You know, now that I think about it, it would make such a swellicious party favor for a fun fiesta of collective, collaborative card-making that I am going to go plan one right now!
