ragtags studio central: sarah's random this & that

random means "having no definite aim or purpose," (1655), taken from "at random" (1565), "at great speed" (thus, "carelessly, haphazardly"). In 1980s college student slang, it somehow, and sadly, acquired a distinct sense of "inferior, undesirable." (Online Etymology Dictionary, Douglas Harper) Well, okay, fine, Mr. Online Etymology Dictionary person, but THIS is the 21st Century. It's a whole new ball of wax.

Happy Canada Day - July 1st!

Today is Colin's and my 35th wedding anniversary. But I am equally excited to note that tomorrow - Canada Day - we can have our photos taken at Whole Foods with a genuine Canadian Mountie. Colin feels there may be a criminal free-for-all in Canada tomorrow, while all of the Mounties pose in the many, many Whole Foods. The poster above refers to neither our anniversary, nor Canada Day. I just think any art portraying big white horses is swell.
