Everybody's doing it. . .

Well, can one ever have too many books chock-full of eye candy & inspiration? Kinda rhetorical question! I can't wait to see this one, due out in December. My friend Suz, editor of the swellest ART zine in the annals of Zinedom, ARTitude, is the mastermind behind Kaleidoscope: ideas + projects to SPARK YOUR CREATIVITY (Northlights). I am so diggin' on the brilliant colors of the covers to her freshest offering, imagining what lies between. For you who have seen my calendar pages (made for small, self-published calendars with a dear friend, Jean McBride), you will recognize the altered image of the two little boys leap-frogging it from a January "New York Minute" piece I did for one of those calendars a couple of years ago.
While we're on the subject of books, am truly looking forward to the arrival of the lovely Ms. Bernadette Berlin's Artist Trading Cards Workshop: Create. Collect. Swap.
It's also coming to a bookseller nearby everyone this December!
For scrapbookers, Scrapbooking for the Time-Impaired by Kerry Arquette and Andrea Zocchi (Cantata, March 2007) and The Adventurous Scrapbooker by Katherine Aimone (Lark, Dec. 2006) both address old dilemmas with new artistry.
Time to clear a spot on the bedside table - or in my case, sans table, the book-strewn bedside floor.
